STEVE WATERFORD, Chief Executive Officer & Inventor
Steve Waterford expanded upon his college training in commercial diving, metallurgy, electronics, welding, hydraulics and mixed-gas systems by working worldwide for major offshore research and oil exploration companies; often creating in-the-field “retrofits” of equipment not tough enough for such harsh environments. Thereafter, as a Marine Coordinator for Film/TV Productions, he witnessed firsthand the need for a camera stabilization system, which led to co-designing one that received Emmy and AMPAS Technical Achievement Awards. After moving to Florida in 2000 he created the mechanical design for an even better system, the MAKOHEAD (www.makohead.com). During all that time, and after having traveled around the World for over 20 years as a travel/underwater photographer for the prestigious stock photo agency, COMSTOCK (credits), he could see the need for camera housing systems that could enable film-making in even the worst of environments. After over four years of intensive R&D and field testing he founded ZennaTek™, Inc. in 2009 to fully bring to market the resulting patented (and patent-pending) products. steve@zennatek.com
